Introducing LABEL GUARD™ Antimicrobial Label Coating

Here are some key points about how it works:

• Label Guard™ uses copper and silver nanoparticle technology which inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria by releasing copper and silver ions, stopping the bacteria from multiplying.

• When bacteria come into contact with the label, the ions released from the nanoparticles penetrate the bacterial cell wall, interfere with enzyme production preventing the cell from producing energy, interrupting the cell’s DNA and preventing replication.

• Copper and silver are inorganic and non-leaching which means that unlike organic antimicrobial technologies, they are incredibly durable, long lasting and highly active.

In situations where markers are shared Label Guard™ can help reduce the spread of harmful bacteria between users. We see this as a very beneficial feature in times when precaution is essential.
